Reduce Anxiety and You'll Help Reduce Your Waistline
Too!
Use these 3-steps daily to reduce anxiety – especially
the kind of anxiety that can lure you directly into the
kitchen for starchy, sugary, and bready foods, the kind of foods that are
definitely anti-nutritional.
1. Take 1-2 TB fish oil daily. Or take 3-5 large
capsules. Fish oil soothes brain neurotransmitters and helps
keep you calm and in control. Be sure to take fish oil, and
not flax seed oil. There’s a difference in how the brain
utilizes them.
2. Do aerobic exercise. Take your choice: 45 minutes 3
times a week of intense sweating. Or 15-20 minutes daily.
Working up a sweat is the key here. You’ll stimulate
endorphin production. Endorphins are your own
personally-manufactured feel good drugs. Mornings usually
work best.
3. Avoid eating foods that stimulate cortisol, the
stress hormone. These foods include caffeine drinks, such as
coffee, black and green teas, and caffeinated sodas. Also
included are alcoholic beverages and starches, especially
high-glycemic starches. These include white bread,
whole-wheat bread, bagels, cookies, cakes, rice crackers,
rice, pasta, white potatoes, crackers, and chips.
Use this formula for 3 weeks and you’ll see a difference in
your moods and your waistline.
